Design one

	The first thing I am going to do is I am going to do is talk about what work flow software is and then I am showing a very good example of workflow software which is Skype and I am going to talk about what Skype is.
			Here and the next slide I am going to talk about what do these work flow software’s do and how they do it.

	Here I am going to continue talking about what work flow software does and how it does it.

Later I am going to talk and show the different types of workflow software there are and I am going to talk about the advantages and disadvantages of some of them.

After that I will talk/ discuss how work flow software is a world flattener And how it has helped us in living and has changed our life’s today

Evaluation on design specifications:

Must:

1. The video must be between 2-7 minutes length because if the video is too short it will not get the message across clearly and if it is too long then people will get bored and not pay attention. With what I have to talk about and show the video should not be too long or too short.
2. The video must show what Work flow software is because to learn how it is a flatterer you should know what it is. I plan to show what it is throughout the video
3. My video must provide a detailed explanation and description on how work flow software is a flatterer. I have made a plan for that at the end of the video
4. The wiki must be full of information and it must have relevant information to Work flow software. This is not included in my design

1. should not be myself talking throughout the whole video but it should have a lot of pictures and video footage to make up for a lot of the words because if I am talking a lot throughout the video the words will come in one ear and through the other, a picture can make up for a thousand word. I plan to have pictures and video throughout I am talking

Design two

And then I will show the feature and what each of them does. I will show five different examples.

At the beginning of this video I will show a few different examples of Work flow software and I will talk about what each of them does.

After I do this I will talk how workflow software in general flattens the world using what I showed in the video and different picture describing what I am saying. I will be using pictures such as the ones below.

Must:

I have a lot of things to talk about therefore I will probably not be less than two minutes in the video but I will not reach 7 minutes since that is a lot of time for a video.

2. The video must show what Work flow software because to learn how it is a flatterer you should know what it is. I am going to show a lot of examples of workflow software and then I will also explain what work flow software is with that.

3. My video must provide a detailed explanation and description on how work flow software is a flatterer. I plan on doing that in the video.

First I will say a definition in my own words of work flow software and show it on the screen. It is a long definition and it has a lot of information but I will say it out loud fully and have it come up in two word bullet points in the video.

Design three

Work flow software is the ability for a machine to talk to another machine with no human intervention involved, to make it easier to communicate with each other using certain software which flatten our world

	After that I will explain how it is a flattener by showing and giving examples about how it flattens our world today.

After this I will show three different types of workflow software and I am going to compare them.

Here I am going to explain how workflow software has made it easier for us to connect with each other and communicate.

Today I found a software that will help me to create a video like the one I like on youtube, the program is called Screen hunter. During this lesson I will learn how to use this program so next lesson I start gathering information and creating my video.

It turned out that Screen hunter is only for taking screen shots of the screen and not for taking videos of the screen and of your self at the same time, I have to continue researching for a program that is like Screen flow but on windows.

I found a new program to do my video on, it is called Debut Video Capture Software and I downloaded it from : http://www.nchsoftware.com/capture/ and it works just like screen flow, it is free and easy to use. I spent this lesson to learn how to use the software and in the homework time we have I will work on the video and get all of the necessary pictures and video captured.

This lesson I was working on creating the video for work flow software and It took me a couple of trials but in the end I was able to create the video. Now all Ihave to do is edit it.

Today I was working on uploading the outsourced video and I had no luck at all, I failed since the internet was very slow throughout Qatar. I was also looking for a good video editing software but I couldn't find one that is good, next lesson I will try to edit on onetruemedia.com

I did not know how to use and had bad results with onetruemedia.com so I continued searching for video editing soft wares and found a good free one called wax and I downloaded it from cnet.com Today I was finally able to upload my outsourced video on youtube and it did not take a lot of time. I put a link for the student who I outsourced the video to to see it.

I worked on the video and now I am doing the final editing in the video but it is basically done, The video is about 4 min 40 seconds, next lesson I will finish editing the video because I now have movie maker because I downloaded an update for xp so this will be easy from now one.


16 and 17th March 2010
During these three lessons I have been doing the final editing and finalizing of my video and during the third lesson I was uploading the video to the ning and Mr. Christodulu's ning too and it is on there and any body can see my five minutes and a half video wich I checked with my teachers and it is an OK time.

Topic: How can work flow software can enhance productivity and communication?

I am investigating the world flatterer "Work flow software" and how it has improved the productivity and ease of communication in modern days. Work flow software is what makes it easier for computers to communicate with each other and it has made it easier for people to communicate with each other with no boundaries to stop them. Work flow software is used in personal use and corporate use where it has become more easier to make conferences with each other when one or two members are in china and the rest of the group is in the USA. An example of Work flow software is a program named "Skype". Skype is a program which allows you to communicate between a computer to computer, computer to mobile phone or even a mobile phone and a computer or another phone using the program. Skype has made it easy using A clever interface and simple guidelines to communicate with each other no matter where you are in the world.

Design brief:

I am trying to see how work flow software has affected us and has made the world flat and easier for us to communicate with each other. I want to show this by creating a video showing how work flow software has made the world flat and it is a flatterer. I will do this by creating a video of 2 to 5 minutes of length and showing how work flow software is flattening the boundaries of our life.

Also other than a video I am going to collaborate with people all around and we are going to work on a wiki site and fill it with information to enlighten people about the flatterer Work flow software.

The flat classroom project is a project which aims in making communication and interaction easier by using web 2.0 tools. The Flat classroom project aims to bring awareness to the ideas that because of technology you can communicate with somebody half the way across the world from you, that there are no boundaries in what you can do with the help of technology. The flat classroom project was based on the book by Thomas Friedman "The world is Flat" which addresses remarkableness of what technology has done to make our life with others border less and it is now easy to communicate with each other. The goal of the flat classroom project is to lower the boundaries of a classroom instead of only having one class at one time you can have more than one classroom tuning in on the same lesson at the same time but on e is in india and the other is in New York.

There are some aspects and things that make it easier to do this and they are caled world flatteners, the things/ events that make it easier for us to communicate with each other and make it easier for us to do things that might have been complicated to do in the past.
World flatteners:
#1: Collapse of the Berlin Wall: This event ended the cold war and it made it possible for people in other side of the wall were abe to join in in places in europe which were reloatively the richer people. The opening of a boundary and it made it easier for people to go from one side to another.
#2: Netscape: netscape is a web browser which was revolutionary for it's time and with new feaatures and since it was very good it made it easier for people to use the world wide web and that broadend the audience of world wide web users.
#3: Workflow software: it is the ability for machines to communicate with other machines using technological improvements and software such as skype and email.
#4: Open Source: projects everybody can contribute to and can change. what is published
#5: Outsourcing:In friedman's book he argues haow outsourcing has made it easier to handle problems with distribution and quality control of products with less prices and more profit. With the use of fiber optic cables and sattelites it has become easier to communicate witht hose outsourced factories/ groups.
#6: Offshoring:this is the relocationg of a company's manufacturing branches or other proccesses to other regions and countries to cut costs.
#7: Supply-chaining: is the opening of chaines country or world wide to durther a company's consumer base and to open other countries to new ideas and for companies to make money from that.
#8: In sourcing: Where companies perform services for other companies in exchange for money or services.
#9: In-forming:where it has become so easy for people to find out information due to search engines and the availability of all the information online.
#10: "The Steroids": personal digital devices which combine so many services into one device like mobile phones which make it easier to do things in just a few clicks. you can have all youre whole life in a very small object such as mobile phones.
